Blood and payment
Your blood results come from your lab, or you upload them yourself as a PDF. You only pay at the end, if your analysis is not covered.

Your blood draw
- Come fasting: only water for 8 to 12 hours beforehand. A morning draw makes that easier.
- Labs usually deliver results within 2 to 5 working days.
How do your results reach Synapse?
Your lab sends them
If your care provider works with a partner lab, your results come in by themselves. You don't have to do anything.
You upload them yourself
You upload your lab's PDF at “Add your blood analysis”. If you have several PDFs, add them all at once: once your report has been made, no more PDFs can be added. Where to find the PDF is explained in Where do I find my blood analysis?.
Paying
If your analysis is not covered by your care provider or your lab, payment is the last step, after the questionnaire. You pay the price shown at the payment step. Your report opens as soon as your payment is confirmed, and we email you when it is ready.
Is this your lab result?
A lab sent us a result with your email address. It only goes into your account once you confirm it is yours.
What do you do?
- Open the email and click the button.
- Check the details: lab, date of the blood draw, name on the result.
- Click “Yes, this is mine” or “No, this is not mine”.
