From photo to PDF
Only have your blood results on paper or as a photo? Turn them into a PDF with what's already on your phone or computer.

On an iPhone
- Open the “Notes” app and create a new note.
- Tap the camera icon and choose “Scan text and documents”.
- Lay the paper on a flat, well-lit surface and point the camera at it. Capture every page and save the scan into the note.
- In the note, tap the scan, tap the share icon and choose “Save to Files”. The scan is in Files as a PDF.
Only have a photo? Open it in “Photos”, tap the share icon and choose “Print”. Tap the share icon again there and choose “Save to Files”.
On an Android phone
- Open the “Google Drive” app. Most Android phones already have it.
- Tap the “Camera” icon at the bottom right and capture every page. If the “Drive scan” widget is on your home screen, you can start from there too.
- Adjust the scan if needed with “Crop & Rotate”, then tap “Done”.
- Choose a folder and tap “Save”. Drive saves the scan as a PDF.
Only have a photo? Open it, tap the three dots and choose “Print”. As the printer, choose “Save as PDF”.
On a computer
- Windows: open the photo, press Ctrl+P and choose “Microsoft Print to PDF” as the printer. Click “Print” and give the file a name.
- Mac: open the photo in Preview and, in the File menu, choose “Export as PDF”.
Then in Synapse
Upload the PDF at “Add your blood analysis”. Several PDFs are fine, up to five files per analysis. Make sure every value is sharp and readable: Synapse reads the results from the PDF.
